Joe Wicks has admitted breaking wind when he was preparing to go live with his lockdown workout – not realising his sound was already on.
The live workout on Tuesday (January 12) was seen by more than 800,000 people on YouTube and many noticed a suspicious sound right at the beginning.
Speaking to radio presenter Mark Wright on Heart FM yesterday (January 13), the 34-year-old said he was left embarrassed of what had happened.
Mark re-played the workout clip on the programme which captured the farting noise before he introduced Joe to the audience.
Joe, also known as the nation’s PE teacher, said: “I can’t believe we’re having this conversation, I know what you’re going to ask me already. Go on what is it?”

The host replied: “Let’s just talk about some kind of noise that happened to, how many people…?”
He continued: “I’m so embarrassed by what’s happened. Basically, I filmed my first PE with Joe yesterday, live at 9am, right?
“I pressed the live button just on my YouTube stream, and just before, I’m talking 20 seconds before, something slipped out Mark… and you can guess what it will be Mark…”

Mark giggled and interrupted to ask more details.
“I’m looking at it, you’re so professional with your [YouTube] lives and stuff, you’re incredible with what you do, but how did you make the mistake?” he questioned.
“Did you already press ‘live’ and you didn’t know you was live? What went wrong?”
Joe explained that there is usually a 20-second delay after pressing the live button but for some reason, the link had opened and it was buffering with the sound on.

“So I’ve let out this giant – honestly, the longest – ripper I’ve ever let out in my life,” he said.
He also said he didn’t know until he saw headlines about the blunder and asked his mates to edit the clip.
Joe explained: “I tell you what, some of the comments are hilarious! I’ve got to be honest, I’ve gone back to the video and got my mate to edit it out because I can’t have that living on there forever.”
