Kate Garraway revealed her worst TV moment was when her weeks-old daughter urinated on superstar Beyoncé.
During Piers Morgan’s last ever ITV Life Stories episode, the 54-year-old admitted to the cringeworthy moment.
Kate said: “I had a moment when I was interviewing Beyoncé – she’s gonna love me for this – when [my daughter] Darcey weed on her!”
Darcy who is now 15-years-old was at the time three or four weeks old when her mum was asked to interview Beyoncé.
She joked: “You don’t say no, do you?”
Kate was still on maternity leave which meant she had to bring her newborn who wasn’t even a month old along to the interview.
Kate recalled meeting the Single Ladies singer, she said: “She came out of the room to get a drink of water or something, saw Darcey and said: ‘Oh my God, let me pick up!’
“I was in the early stages of nappies [and] I’d only just changed her [but] I could see it sliding in a perilous way!
“We all leapt forward, but it was too late! She was utterly charming about it, but she did change,” Kate acknowledged.
The audience of the ITV show erupted into laughter.
Piers joked that Beyoncé would probably be watching and did give Kate and Darcy the opportunity to apologise to her for their embarrassing moment.
Darcy did give a “belated apology” as she spoke into a microphone and said: “Beyoncé, I’m sorry for weeing on you!”
Kate confessed and told honest stories during Piers’ last Life Stories show.
The Good Morning Britain presenter revealed she was watching along with fans as she had no idea what edits had been made and which stories made the final cut.
She shared: “Watching… slightly through my fingers, Hope I did you proud Piers to be your ‘final’ after such a tremendous run – you certainly did me.”
