Katie Piper has revealed what her Loose Women journey has been like so far following her recently joining the panel.
The ITV chat show has been a “bucket list tick” for Katie who was thrilled to be asked to join the team.
Katie said: “The women are exactly like you see on TV, they are really honest, warm and genuine a couple of them took me to one side and took me under their wing.
“They’ve all been really helpful and given me nuggets of wisdom I think I’ve done the most shows with Nadia and Linda Robson.
“Nadia is so kind she is like the mother hen and she is a real woman’s woman. Linda again is a really lovely person, for me, I was like ‘wow that’s Tracey from Birds of a Feather.'”
When asked if she had experienced any tensions between the cast, as upon leaving the panel Saira Khan revealed she could only “tolerate” some of the other members and only kept in touch with four of them on a personal basis.
Katie added: “I didn’t even know that was her experience but yeah it hasn’t been my experience at all.
“For me, it’s been like someone joining a soap opera, like a big family, that’s the vibe that it’s been like for me.”
Alongside being a Loose Women panellist, Katie has also been juggling releasing a new book titled A Little Bit of Faith: Hopeful Affirmations for Every Day of the Year along with a new campaign with Aviva.
The campaign is set to help people make hard decisions, as new research shows that Brits lose almost 43 nights’ sleep a year worrying about making the right decision.
The 37-year-old author then went on to reveal that it’s a problem in her own family home, as she often stays up late riddled with anxiety while a husband Richie is fast asleep.
She continued: “Honestly, I’m kept up all the time that worrying in my house. My husband hits the pillow and is sound asleep and I’m there laying there thinking about the global crisis or whatever.
“For me, I recognise that I’m an anxious decision maker so I will scatter thoughts all in my mind in a mess.
“So what I’ve learned to do is keep a notepad and jot concerns down in short form but I will not go into the solutions – because you can not solve anything when you’re sleep-deprived.
“I’ll go to sleep and wake up and block out 20-30 mins in the diary the next morning and work out how to solve these problems.
Katie Piper has partnered with Aviva to launch the Aviva Decision School – a free online teaching academy to help people with decision-making. The curriculum of lessons and guidance covers a range of different areas including overcoming any related anxiety, making decisions under pressure, and trusting one’s instincts.
