Katie Price and son Harvey land second BBC documentary deal as he starts college

Katie Price and her son Harvey have announced they will be starring in a brand-new documentary which follows their family life as her eldest moves into his first apartment.

This documentary follows on from the former glamour model, 43, and her 19-year-old son Harvey first documentary titled Katie Price: Harvey and Me which aired on BBC One back in January that highlighted the gruelling selection process she went through to find the best college for her son.

The TV personality’s first born suffers from septo-optic dysplasia, Prader-Willi syndrome, autism and a learning disability which means he requires special care and support from the staff at his college.

After the doting mum-of-four shared the realities of raising a disabled child in their first programme, the star was flooded with support from fans and viewers as she struggled her way through the complex college system.

Now, Katie has revealed the title of her new documentary with Harvey as he embarks on his latest adventure which will be called Katie Price: What Harvey Did Next.

Speaking of the wave of the overwhelming support from her loyal legion of fans, Katie admitted: “The overwhelming love and support we received following Harvey And Me earlier this year was incredible.

“To see how many people connected with our story and how it helped so many families out there who are going through similar experiences has made me so proud. But Harvey’s story doesn’t end there.”

She added: “In this next documentary we will again open up our lives to viewers, as Harvey takes the next step into adulthood as he moves out of our family home.

“I want to show our real story about how Harvey and I cope with such a big change in our lives, and hopefully help others dealing with similar issues. “

The follow-up programme will follow Harvey as he leaves his school days behind him and celebrates his summer break with his loving friends and family.

Viewers will also get to see how he adapts to his new life at National Star College which specialises in further education for people with disabilities and encourages them the be more independent through their residential service.

The school educates the budding young students a range of new skills in how to manage the outside world including a range of different work experiences as well as interacting within the local community.

Katie has previously admitted that she will be “heartbroken” to see Harvey move out of their family home as he prepares to sets up shop three hours away in Cheltenham.

She told the publication: “It’s so upsetting to think I won’t see him every day but this is the best thing for Harvey and we have to think positively because I don’t want him to think I’m just getting rid of him.

“When he’s three hours away it will break my heart because I won’t be able to get there as I’ve got to juggle him with my other kids.”
