Kaye Adams has revealed to fans how she’s feeling after getting her Covid booster jab.
The Loose Women presenter is a passionate supporter of the virus vaccine, and she wanted to keep her fans updated on her experience of the jab – including any side effects she felt.
It comes amid the latest strain of the virus – the Omicron variant – has started spreading across Europe, meaning double-jabbed people have been urged to get their third vaccine shot.
The new strain has also been detected in Essex and Nottingham.
The 58-year-old broadcaster has decided to take up the third jab to be safe, and she took to Instagram over the weekend to let fans know how her body was coping with it.
Kaye appeared to be in high spirits, because she told fans she was feeling “tickety boo”.
She said: “So no I have not spent the last 24 hours in this car, but it has been 24 hours since I had my booster, so I thought I would fill you in on the side effect that I have experienced,”
In her following story, she went on: “None. Nada. Zilch. Net, Nothing, Rien, I’m tickety boo.”
Kaye was all wrapped up in a thick coat to keep her shielded from the winter weather.
Kaye has urged her viewers to take up the Covid vaccine, and earlier this month she had a heated row with her Loose Women co-star Carol McGiffin.
The pair had been debating whether or not carers who reject the jab should be sacked from their jobs.
On the show, Kaye said: “If someone had come in and said I’m choosing not to get vaccinated, I would have had a problem with them looking after my mum and dad.”
Carol disagreed, and felt that the rule hinders people’s “freedom” to choose.
She said: “If all these people leave the care sector it will be absolute carnage! I can’t believe that they’re doing it, and I can’t believe they’re doing it to NHS workers”
“They are forcing people to get injected when they don’t want it, and they think they don’t need it.”
