The iconic comedy panel show Celebrity Juice has been missing from ITV’s schedule for the first time since its inception, and host Keith Lemon worries it won’t return.
The show, which has been making viewers cringe and laugh in equal measure since 2008, has not been included on ITV’s autumn schedule, making Keith question his future career path.
The funny presenter jokingly said he might have to start looking for a “normal job” soon after considering the possibility it might be gone for good.
Reports claim there will still be Halloween and Christmas specials that will air on ITV2, as these have already been recorded.
The broadcaster has also reportedly not yet booked in any episodes for 2022.
Keith, played by comedian Leigh Francis, told the Daily Star: “It’s not on again this year, which is sad. Will it be back again? Who knows?
“I might have to get a real job. Hopefully, we’ll be back next year. If not, it’s been a good ride and we’ve had a good time.”
The show features a host of celeb faces pitted against each other in a series of wild games and challenges and has been going for a whopping 25 series.
The show has previously won academy awards, nailing a BAFTA after becoming ITV2’s most-watched show.
Keith’s other shows, such as Through the Keyhole and The Fantastical Factory Of Curious Craft, have already been axed.
In other news this week, the host has also come under fire over claims he made Melanie Sykes cry after she appeared on one of his shows.
The TV and radio presenter says she cried all night after Leigh Francis, in character as Keith, “used” her to entertain the audience on the ITV gameshow Through The Keyhole.
Talking about the incident on the Frankly Speaking podcast with Lynne Franks, Melanie said: “I went into the studio and I didn’t think Keith was going to be like he was on the other show that he does where it’s all sex and blow jobs and talking about people’s a***holes and all that.
“I sat there for a three-hour record and he did all of that stuff to me verbally to entertain the live audience – because it was never going to make the edit of the actual show because it was a family, Saturday night show, so he used me to entertain the audience.
“I had Jonathan Ross to my right and Ashley Banjo to my left and the first thing that Keith said to me, in character – ‘I bet your a***hole smells of flowers’.”
