Kerry Katona's daughter says she turned down Love Island over bikini body fears

Kerry Katona’s daughter Lilly McFadden has announced she turned down Love Island after show bosses reached out to her asking if she wanted to take part in this year’s series.

Beauty Lilly, 18, whose mum is Kerry Katona and dad is former Westlife singer Brian McFadden, revealed she loves the show but confessed the idea of being surrounded by the hunky blokes would be her “worst nightmare”.

Speaking exclusively to OK!, Lilly said: “It’s not a bit of me.

“Not in a rude way, it’s a fun show, but if I was going to make a big TV debut it would not be with Love Island. Being romantic or getting my body out – it’s not me. It’s no diss to Love Island or the people who go on there but I hate PDAs.

“I had a boyfriend for two years and I would not let him touch me in public. We’d be down Spoons and he’d try and hold my hand and I wouldn’t let him!”

She went on to say: “For most people, going in the villa, being surrounded by all those hunky men, it’s a dream come true – for me, it’d be my worst nightmare.”

However, it’s not just the hunky men and thought of exposing her body to the nation that puts her off, because she also doesn’t want to upset her nan – Brian’s mum Mairead.

Whilst laughing, Lilly explained that it would “kill” her nan, who is Catholic and lives in Ireland, if she chose to enter the villa and pursue that path.

She also said that whilst her dad Brian can’t have too much say on what she does as she’s an adult, she would take his thoughts into consideration.

Her mum Kerry, she continued, would be fine with her going on the show and she’s confident she’d support her no matter what, although her dad’s a bit more stubborn.

Unlike Lilly, mum Kerry is no stranger to flashing the flesh as she’s made a huge success out of her OnlyFans page.

Lilly added that despite her not being keen on her mum having an OnlyFans account at first, she understands that she’s got to do what she has to do and she’s now comfortable with it – so she will support her.

When it comes to Lilly’s own career path, she’s keen on setting foot in the world of entertainment like her famous parents, but she’s also an aspiring Human Rights lawyer – having been accepted into two universities to study law.

Lilly said that her friend told her that it’s her [Lilly] who is going to change the world and not her “bikini”.

She wasn’t sure if going on love Island would make it hard for people to take her seriously as a lawyer, but she’s not ruling out pursuing the world of showbiz.
