Killing Eve’s Jodie Comer has revealed to BBC Radio 1 that fans in the street ask her to strangle them for photos.
The 28-year-old is famed for playing Oksana Astankova or Villanelle in the spy thriller.
She said fans often ask her to put on her accent that she uses in the show, but even go so far as to ask her to strangle them in pics.
Jodie added that she often stole costumes from set, including Villanelle’s shoes because they’re “really good”.
She also discussed her love of improvising while filming, explaining the iconic “This is so boring line” wasn’t scripted.

Jodie said: “Me and Kim [the director] were doing that scene and we’d done it a good few times and we were in a really quiet art gallery and I was just so tempted to do it, so I did it.
“So his reaction was real, which I love and Kim loves that, he always likes to be surprised. So at any moment I’m like “oh this is a great opportunity to”, so it was great!”

The talented star also played a very different character in Chloe Gamell in E4’s My Mad Fat Diary, a role she calls “ground-breaking”.
“I was so young when we started that, I think I was like eighteen, nineteen when the first series started and I remember just reading the scripts and being like ‘wow, we’re tackling something really important here,’ Jodie revealed.

“But the way in which it’s been delivered it’s very accessible and it’s very fun and it’s relatable. So I’m so proud of Mad Fat [Diary] and it was also the first project I was a part of where I was with a lot of people my own age, then the trouble started! It hugely shaped who I am.”
She added: “I think it’s the nineties. It’s like an Oasis/Blur soundtrack, like it’s the best music, great costumes, has a really important message but is again, incredibly fun.
“And I feel like every generation will be able to watch that and I think it will stand the test of time.”
Jodie next stars in Hollywood action-comedy film Free Guy, opposite Ryan Reynolds, who she says taught her a lot.
“Working with Ryan and seeing how he works and the speed at which his brain works, I said this to him, I was like ;how do you do it? And he’s like ‘I prepare, I do the work,’ she explained.
“But he will be on set and if there’s a certain kind of line that’s a joke that he’s maybe done a couple of times and he’s like ‘I want to try something new’, he will have five ready to go and each one is as funny as the last.
“And everyone behind the camera is laughing out loud. But it’s so incredible to see and to learn from.”
