Just when it looked like she couldn’t get any more iconic, Kim Kardashian rocked up to her estranged husband Kanye West’s album launch party in a wedding dress.
The all-star couple are in the midst of getting divorced, and the launch of his new album Donda came just months after Kim filed papers.
However, the move has left some fans certain the iconic couple might have made amends and plan to call off their divorce proceedings – though Kim has not spoken out about any plans to reunite with her ex.
Donda will be Kanye’s 10th studio album in his extensive R&B career, and is named after his late mum.
But the listening party saw Kanye’s show stolen by his estranged wife, who turned up at the Soldier Field stadium wearing a Balenciaga wedding gown during the final song of the night, No Child Left Behind.
Almost 40,000 people attended the event in Kanye’s home city Chicago – the third promotional session he held to celebrate the album’s inception.
In line with Kanye’s typical approach, the party started two hours late, offering on-site vaccinations and featuring a cameo from Kim, who rocked up with the couple’s four children.
It comes after Kim officially filed for divorce in February this year, after nearly seven years of marriage.
Fans were immediately obsessed with Kim’s appearance, and flocked to Twitter in droves to share their appreciation for the reality star.
One posted: “Did Kanye just end the event by remarrying Kim Kardashian?”, as another chimed in: “Kanye really went from chilling with Marilyn Manson to setting himself on fire to marrying Kim Kardashian within 5 minutes!”
“That smile on Kanye’s face when Kim Kardashian, dressed in wedding gown to surprise him during his #DONDA listening party is everything for me,” someone else tweeted.
And another fan followed up: “Kim and Kanye officially together forever!”
Kanye’s event was also attended by two rather unlikely guests – rock star Marilyn Manson and rapper DaBaby.
Both have been embroiled in controversy in recent weeks, with Manson – real name Brian Warner – accused of sexual assault, with four separate women filing lawsuits against him.
DaBaby, meanwhile, came under fire for homophobic comments he made at a music festival – despite later insisting he “never, ever meant to offend anybody.”
Kanye has dominated headlines in the last week after filing to legally change his name to Ye.
