Lindsay Lohan is making her movie comeback and fans can barely contain their excitement.
The flame-haired actress made a huge splash in the noughties with hits like Mean Girls and Freaky Friday, but her star seemed to fade after she went through some well-documented troubles and run-ins with the law.
However, Lindsay is about to burst back onto the scene with a Christmas rom-com about a spoiled heiress who loses her memory.
Netflix has given fans their first peek by sharing a picture of Li-Lo and Glee actor Chord Overstreet walking through the show with festive lights all around them.
“She’s back!” said the post. “Here is your first look at Lindsay Lohan in her upcoming holiday rom-com, co-starring Chord Overstreet.”
Lindsay, whose last movie was 2019’s Among The Shadows, tweeted: “Back at work and couldn’t be happier! Action!”
Her followers said they couldn’t wait to welcome her back to the screen.
“Queen. We’re ready,” posted one person.
“So good to see you back,” tweeted another.
A third chipped in: ” “I did not think that was Lindsay Lohan. Omg she looks amazing.”
Another said they needed to see the festive flick “NOW”, while another person simply declared: “LI-LO IS BACK.”
“So excited to see you back acting again Lindsay,” said one fan. “It’s been too long. I still pray and wish you the best. Stay strong, don’t listen to negative comments, and be happy always.”
“Never, ever doubted you’d be back to offer us your amazing talent,” said another.
“Adele is thriving, Beyoncé has a new song, Britney is free, Lindsay Lohan is back, Paris is married. The girlies are winning, I love it so much,” another person wrote.
Lindsay’s new movie is due to be released in 2022.
She first rose to fame in Parent Trap in 1998 and became one of Hollywood’s most well-known stars after appearing as Cady Heron in hit film Mean Girls in 2004.
Sadly she was plagued by drug and alcohol issues, telling Piers Morgan in 2013: “I got arrested for my first DUI when I was 20 and they found me with drugs.
“And from then on the press were on me all the time. It was the first time I’d taken drugs; I was out in a club with people I shouldn’t have been with, and took cocaine, and got in the car. It was so stupid.”
