Line of Duty’s Nigel Boyle looked totally different to his character Ian Buckles as he was interviewed on BBC Breakfast.
The identity of the mysterious H was finally unveiled as Buckells after years of speculation.
Presenters Louise Minchin and Jon Kay chatted to Nigel after the nail-biting finale aired last night.
Speaking about the BBC season’s last episode, actor Nigel looked unrecognisable with long curly hair and a beard.
Fans took to Twitter as one said: “He looks totally different!”
Another penned: “Buckells already demonstrating his new identity in witness protection.”
A third added: “Buckells on BBC Breakfast, I’d never have recognised him.”
“Buckell’s new identity is very effective,” typed a fourth.
Nigel also addressed rumours of a seventh series of the popular BBC drama.
Louise asked: “Is there going to be another series?”
Not revealing anything, Ian Buckells actor Nigel said: “No comment.
“I mean, I honestly don’t know. I hope there is, personally, but I just don’t know.”
Line of Duty fans are hoping BBC One will release a seventh series after last night’s final instalment.
Viewers were left disappointed with Patricia Carmichael’s storyline as she wasn’t revealed to be a bent copper.
Carmichael left numerous fans insisting she was crooked due to her ongoing feud with Hastings.
One fan tweeted: “There is still storylines for Series 7 though if it happens – who is Buckells covering for and has Carmichael been involved in corruption that Hastings, Kate and Steve can prove to bring her down so Ted can take over again #LineOfDuty.”
Another penned: “Eeek I was soo excited for the finale but feel a tad underwhelmed by the unmasking of “H” Even Carmichael didn’t have any oomph in tonight’s episode! Hoping for a season 7 now…”
“Of course Buckells is not H. Wait for series 7. Carmichael and Osborne are crooked AF! #LineofDuty”, added a third.
