Little Mix's Perrie Edwards shares adorable new snap of baby Axel snap at five weeks old

Little Mix’sPerrie Edwards has thrilled fans with a new update of her five-week-old baby son, Axel.

The Sweet Melody singer gave birth last month and left her followers with smiles on their faces after they peeped a look at her adorable boy.

Proud mum Perrie captioned the photo with a heart and showed off the latest update to her 13m followers.

This comes a few weeks after the two-week post-birth update where the star shared a photo of Axel sleeping in a white Moses basket.

Baby Axel was covered up with a blanket and wore an adorable blue bobble hat.

Captioning the post, she said: “2 weeks of loving you. I’ve never felt love like this before! Axel Oxlade-Chamberlain.”

Some fans may not realise that the name Axel is actually an anagram of his famous footballer dad’s name, Alex.

Perrie’s Little Mix besties were among the first to show their support to the new parents after their initial public announcement.

Leigh-Anne Pinnock said: “I am so proud of you and I love you so much, what an angel.”

This was shortly followed by Perrie returning the favour after bandmate Leigh-Anne also announced she had given birth to twins with footballer fiancé Andre Gray.

Leigh-Anne shared a snap of her two tiny babies’ feet and wrote: “We asked for a miracle, we were given two… Our Cubbies are here 16/08/21.”

To which Perrie replied: “Two bundles of absolute joy! I love you my Lee Lee!”

Perrie’s latest baby snap comes shortly after ex-bandmate Jesy Nelson revealed that she left the group after feeling “trapped” and “unhappy” for 10 years.

The singer, who quit the band last year to focus on her mental health, has spoken in detail about the reasons behind her shock departure.

Speaking on the Reign with Josh Smith podcast, Jesy admitted: “I really didn’t want to upset people and I didn’t want people to think that about me, but I don’t care anymore – because it was ten years of my life that I was very unhappy with and I needed to take myself out of that.”

In the interview, Jesy compared the group to a ‘machine’ and said: “I wanted so badly to be accepted and didn’t want to be compared all the time.

“Even the last interview I did with you I was like yeah this is the most confident I’ve been, I was f*****g lying that wasn’t the truth. For once in my life, hand on my heart this is the happiest I’ve been.”
