Lizzie Cundy says she has been a shoulder for pal Rylan to cry on during tough times

Former WAG Lizzie Cundy has opened up about being there for Rylan during the tough times he has recently faced due to the recent ending of his marriage.

The 53-year-old TV personality spoke about her friendship with the star exclusively to Daily Star as she rocked up at the Together For Short Lives Ball, that took place in London on Tuesday.

Lizzie said: “I have known him a long time, I always support him and he was one of the loveliest people you will ever meet.

“We were together on Big Brother’s Bit on The side, I love his mum, I feel like I’m part of the family. I’m going there for Christmas.”

When asked if she’s been a shoulder for him to cry on during his recent times of heartbreak, she said that they are there just as much for each other.

Lizzie continued: “You know what, we’ve been there for each other we’ve been through a lot over the years and yes he is my gorgeous friend and I’m like that auntie that will not go anywhere.”

Lizzie has also opened up about the time she woke up in presenter Rylan’s bed after a drunken night out.

At the time, Rylan had posted on his Instagram that he had woken up after his lavish birthday bash to find a celeb still in his home.

Rylan had documented the night on Instagram – and the following morning he also showed his fans that someone had stayed the night after spotting Lizzie in his toilet.

She had shouted to Rylan not to laugh as she pulled her things together to go home before telling him that she was going to stop off at the petrol station while still looking incredibly glammed-up from the night before.

Reminiscing on their wild night, Lizzie said: “I was the guest that wouldn’t leave, the drunk guest, that was me.

“It was great, we had great fun. I didn’t want to go home. He made me so welcome, I love Essex where he lives.”

The fierce friends certainly have fun together – which the pair made incredibly clear through their last minute and somewhat surprising sleepover.
