Nadia Sawalha, of Loose Women, has blasted Jennifer Aniston after the Hollywood star revealed she cut out friends who refused to have the Covid jab.
On Friday’s show, Nadia shared how she thought the view of the Friends actress was “everything that’s wrong with the world”.
The panellist didn’t hold back after hearing Jennifer admit she had “lost a few people in my weekly routine who have refused or did not disclosed” whether they had the coronavirus vaccine.
The ITV show saw Linda Robson say she found the decision “too harsh” and that “at the end of the day, it’s their choice” whether people have the vaccine or not.
Nadia on the other hand had strong views on the topic.
She said: “I think it’s everything that is wrong with the world at the moment what she said. I’m so shocked. Why can’t we just be more understanding of people’s different points of view?”
The presenter then said she had “really close friends that are not vaccinated” and it “really frightens” her, after their lives become “smaller and smaller” due to what they can and can’t do without having the jab.
But she explained not everyone that is “scared or questioning the vaccine is a crazy anti-vaxxer.”
She went on to add that everyone needed to keep the conversation going, and there are plenty of ways to socialise with friends and family at a distance if they are not vaccinated.
Stacey Solomon, fellow Loose Women star added “there’s a lot of judgement on both sides”.
She said: “I think that sadly what we’re not doing is going, ‘why do you feel so scared of the vaccine?’ We’re immediately looking at someone and saying you’re wrong, I’m right.”
Linda then added people “need their friends” during the pandemic, before Nadia remarked the irony that Jennifer cut friends out of her life, giving her iconic role in the hit soap Friends which hit international fame in the 1990s.
Following the backlash she has received, Jennifer shared a statement on her Instagram Story with her fans.
She wrote: “We have to care about more than just ourselves here.”
