Monday’s Loose Women saw Charlene White, Judi Love, Nadia Sawalha and Jane Moore discuss Sunday nigh’s Love Island antics.
Viewers were left cringing at Sunday night’s episode of Love Island as Hugo Hammond found himself put in the friendzone when he tried to chat up his coupled-up babe, Chloe Burrows.
As the subject of Hugo’s friendzoning arose, Loose Women panelist Nadia Sawalha began to mock Chloe’s accent.
Slurring her words and talking in a high-pitched voice, Nadia began to babble before he and the other panelists started mocking the islander by saying: “Reallllly” in a drawn out, high-pitched way.
“She’s the most wonderful character,” Nadia said, “I absolutely adore her,
“I love how never can understand anything she says!”
Fans were outraged by Nadia’s impression of the islander, with some fans taking to Twitter to express their thoughts on the matter.
One viewer said: “No Nadia she isn’t a character she is a real person. Shouldn’t be havent the p*ss taken out of her because the way she speaks. Not nice.”
Another viewer penned: “It absolutely riles me that Nadia takes the p*ss out of the women on Love Island. I don’t watch it, but she’s such a hypocrite because she harps on about being kind & how fragile mental health is. These women don’t count though.”
A third said: “You can talk Nadia you never finish your words don’t know what you are saying half the time.”
While a fourth agreed with the former Celebrity Big Brother star: “Nadia got Chloe’s voice spot on. That’s exactly what she sounds like.”
After a conversation with newly dumped Aaron Francis, Hugo was given the confidence to make a move on Chloe.
Hugo toyed around the topic of his earlier conversation giving the impression he wasn’t particularly invested but was asking for the sake of others.
After repeatedly telling Chloe to relax, Hugo said: “I’ve just got to double check, obviously I know what your type is but as we know this place moves mad.
“And these conversations eventually happen, may as well do it sooner – save everyone the hassle.”
With a smile on her face, Chloe let him down easy saying: “I just think what we’ve been through and, like, where I’m at, I just feel like for me it wouldn’t be romantic because of like, how close we are.”
