Lorraine Kelly prepared fans for her absence tomorrow if Scotland doesn’t make it through to the next round of the Euro 2020 competition.
As the show was coming to a close, the Scottish TV star joked: “I may not be here tomorrow,” before adding: “Of course, I’ll see you a nine tomorrow.”
In an earlier discussion with Ross King, she warned the showbiz correspondent as he chimed support for her native Scots.
Ross exclaimed: “Come on Scotland.”
Lorraine added: “Ohh don’t get me started.”
The TV icon had made her nerves evident throughout the programme as she worried about Scotland’s fate in tonights match against Croatia in the final heats.
If Scotland lose this evening, they will be out of the 2020 competition.
Before the pair began their chat on football Ross delivered the tragic news from Los Angeles that American actor James Michael Tyler, who played Central Perk waiter Gunther on the hit sitcom, had stage four cancer.
In the VT James explained that he had kept a tight lip during the Friends Reunion about his suffering.
When asked if any of the cast members had been in touch since the news broke.
The actor detailed that he had been in touch with David Schwimmer aka Ross Geller “via Instagram”.
James didn’t know how long he had left but wanted to spread as much awareness while he still could.
He added: “You know eventually it’s going to get me.
“My goal last year was to reach my 59th birthday and I did that.
“My goal is to now save at least one life.”
As the tape had finished rolling, the Lorraine was “terribly saddened” by the news with Ross seemingly lost for words too.
Love Island airs weekdays on ITV at 6am.
