BBC Breakfast’s Louise Minchin is celebrating her birthday and shared a snap of some stunning flowers she received, as well as an emotional message from friend Rob Rinder.

The star turns 53 today, and viewers have been admiring the beautiful blooms shown off on Twitter, at the same time as her co-star admitted he “deserted” her.

She captioned the snap: “Thanks to the person who sent me these. What a lovely way to brighten up my birthday and the make-up room”.

Packed full of hydrangeas and roses and in shades of pastel pink and white, the enormous bouquet looks stunning as Louise smiles happily in the background.
