Louise Redknapp fears fans will 'worry' when they hear lyrics of comeback album

Comeback star Louise Redknapp fears people will “worry” when they see the lyrics to her next album.

The singer is plotting a fresh “positive” collection of tunes for the new year, inspired by the past few months.

And that’s coincidentally a time when ex-husband Jamie Redknapp remarried and became a dad again.

Louise explained: “At the moment my phone is full with lyrics. The last two or three months, I’ve got a lot of lyrics down. Right now everything I write I want it to be positive and I want it to be really empowering, like a moving-forward album.

“If someone was to look at my notes they would probably worry about me, for the things I’ve written down on there.”

The star is planning a huge comeback album

Louise tackled many relationship and personal issues on her 2020 album Heavy Love – but the new music will be different.

She added: “Dare I say I think we have the first single. I’m going in strong. The direction we want to go in is a step on from Heavy Love.

“Hopefully, if all goes according to plan, we could be gigging a lot.”

Louise fears fans will ‘worry’ about her

Louise faced a fair bit of flack during her last comeback, facing accusations of trying to be too sexy in the video for Stretch.

She laughed: “I worry a lot about what other people think far too much, until you can get rid of that, that is when you will do your best work. I did worry people would think the music video was too sexy, I over worry.

“But I loved coming back so strong, no matter what people thought whether I should have a leotard on or off, the most important part of our life as artists is to say I’m pleased with that decision and Stretch was that moment for me.”

She also recently opened up on how her mum helped to inspire some of her past tracks.

Speaking on Steve Anderson’s Such A Good Feeling podcast, she explained: “She [Louise’s mum] said to me, ‘You know what Lou, sometimes you have to break to come back together. You are going to have to accept that this isn’t gonna go away overnight’.”

Host Steve joked that Louise’s mum should get some royalties for helping her with inspiration for her album, but Louise laughed and opposed the idea.
