Love Island babes who were the 'real winners' with £4m net worth to Enders fame

Long-term fame for Love Island stars is unheard of for most contestants, with many reality stars cashing in on what they can in the first year before the next cohort hits the screens.

There are certainly reality stars that we will never forget, but there are also a handful who have signed so many deals and do so much elsewhere, that they’re unlikely to fizzle out any time soon.

PR expert Rochelle White explained to Daily Star Online explained how certain islanders have managed to find their feet in the ever-changing industry – and why it has helped them in their career.

Olivia Bowen from series two has grown in her success over the years, with TV shows, a growing Instagram following and her lavish home account, and Rochelle believes this has helped in her growth as she builds her brand.

She and her husband Alex have reportedly racked up a whopping £4.4million through clothing deals, their own show on TLC and a £25k deal for a sneak peek inside their wedding.

She said: “Olivia partnered with the right management agencies and secured clothing ranges with the likes of In The Style.

“I think she could have taken inspiration from well known influencers and bloggers to see how they have created a personal brand and focused on doing the same.

“Olivia has created a lifestyle brand as herself and as a couple. I think she has been strategic in her approach as she probably knew that once the popularity of Love Island wore off that she needed to have a business to continue her career.”

Olivia Attwood is another star who managed to sail through the paces before ultimately appearing on TOWIE, getting her own show – twice – and a clothing range.

Rochelle said: “I think Olivia had to find her rhythm and find the right management to work with. She has been smart in her partnerships and collaborations in building her brand while remaining true to who she is.

“I don’t feel she has done anything that she wouldn’t like to be known for and she has been outspoken about other reality stars and is unapologetic in that – being her authentic self has helped secure a strong personal brand.”

Although she was already well-known before her entrance to the villa, Dani Dyer has also maintained her success since her win in 2018 with Jack Fincham.

Dani had been acting prior to her entrance and with her dad in the industry she had one foot in the door when it came to strong management – as soon as she left the show she teamed up with In The Style for a collection.

She is now set for a stint in EastEnders alongside her dad Danny’s character Mick, and will be an expectant mother in need of a helping hand.

“Her personal brand has seen her as an influencer and now a mum and lifestyle influencer,” Rochelle added.

Molly Mae Hague entered the villa as a micro-influencer and left with a whopping 3million followers, which has since increase to 5.5million.

Rochelle said: “Molly Mae was already an influencer before heading onto Love Island, but since the show she has only grown. I believe her popularity has even more success because of her relationship with Tommy, but she has certainly created a strong personal brand.”

Molly Mae focused on her own brand Filter by Molly Mae and she keeps on top of her YouTube channel – she also has multiple collections with Pretty Little Thing and continues to work with Beauty Works.

Other stars have still been successful in building up their brand, with a range of our Love Island favourites remaining popular celebrities to this day.

One of which, is Amber Davies, who managed to turn Love Island into her way to break into the theatre industry, something which she had always dreamed of doing.

Rochelle said: “With Amber I think she used the show as a stepping stone to start her career within theatre.

She has been strategic in building her career and working with brands that can help do that, she won the show and from then on started to put things into place.”

Rochelle recognised how Amber started to cut back on brand posts and focus on building her performance career which has grown incredibly over the last few years.

The PR expert warned future islanders that not having a plan when leaving the villa is a big part of why people aren’t always successful.

She noted that saying yes to everything isn’t a good start and added that paid content and Instagram ads can “only get you so far”.

Rochelle said: “The Love Island fame and popularity comes thick and fast and you need to have a good team of people around you to help manage that.

“Anyone who is going on the show should have a plan in place for what they would like to do after, otherwise they will burn through their cash and popularity very quickly.”

A fresh new set of islanders will be arriving on our screens from Monday, June 28 and will appear every weekday and Sunday at 9pm on ITV.
