Things became very emotional on Thursday’s episode of Love Island after Liberty Poole confessed that she can no longer be in a partnership with her boyfriend Jake Cornish.
Liberty and Jake had been together since day one in the villa and have fought tirelessly to prove that their relationship was the real deal.
But on Thursday, Liberty left fans in tears when she admitted to Faye Winter that she could no longer be with Jake.
Seeing the dramatic scenes unfold, Love Island viewers shared their thoughts on Twitter.
One fan penned: “I’m sobbing at Liberty hurts so much feeling like nothing you do is ever good enough for someone 🙁 I love her.”
While another said: “I’m crying for Lib because she really is too pure for her own good.”
A third chimed: “Everyone trying to get through the barriers to tear Jake down for making liberty overthink and cry.”
“Said from the beginning she deserves better, Jake gave me the ick the moment he mentioned his foot fetish,” a fourth commented.
Later on in the programme, Liberty told Faye where her anxiousness derived from and explained that the comments that Jake made towards her earlier wasn’t nice.
Liberty admitted to Faye that “something’s gone wrong somewhere” and says she “feels like the energy is different”.
Realising that Liberty was upset, Jake confronted her and asked her what the problem was.
Liberty explained that she wanted someone who loves every part of her and excepts her for who she is, including her “messiness”.
Near the end of the show, Liberty unexpectedly decided to break things off with Jake- only days away from the final.
Taking to Twitter again, fans shared their views.
