Love Island fans left shaking as Jake passionately snogs Kaz in front of Liberty

Jake Cornish and Liberty Poole have been one of the stronger couples in a very changeable season of this year’s series of Love Island.

However, it looks like their bond may be about to be broken quite spectacularly if Monday night’s episode preview is anything to go by.

In the annual challenge titled Snog, Marry, Pie the islanders can choose to kiss someone, which can lead to surprising outcomes.

And instead of opting to plant a snog on Liberty, viewers saw Jake lock lips with her best friend Kaz ahead of the upcoming episode.

Those watching Sunday’s instalment were left perplexed by the latest development and wondered what Jake was playing at.

Taking to Twitter, one fan asked: “Has Jake lost his damn miiiiind???? Sorry wtf is going on? #LoveIsland

“Jake obviously didn’t watch the series with Anton and Belle if he’s not snogging Liberty in that game #LoveIsland,” recalled another.

A third noted: “Nah Jake kissing Kaz??? They’re going to try and make her a villan I’m SHAKING #LoveIsland.”

“Jake snogging KAZ????? Liberty’s best friend?!?!? #LoveIsland,” echoed a fourth.

A fifth pointed out: “I love Kaz… but… Jake wasn’t kissing the air, there was someone kissing back #loveisland.”

“If that short man comes between Liberty and Kaz’s friendship I will be fuming! #LoveIsland,” wrote another fan.

It’s not yet known how Liberty will deal with the aftermath but viewers saw her look unsettled by what was going on.

Sunday’s edition of the popular ITV2 dating show episode featured a fair amount of drama after a dramatic recoupling.

Civil servant and beauty pageant queen Sharon Gaffka, who had been on the island since the show began last month, was dumped after Danny Bibby picked to couple up with Lucinda Strafford.

Newcomer AJ Bunker decided to choose Hugo Hammond, who admitted he would have chosen Sharon instead.
