Love Island Lucinda and Aaron 'won't last' as Anna Vakili slams 'fake' romance

Love Island star Anna Vakili has insisted Lucinda and Aaron won’t last as a couple outside of the villa – following their brutal dumping on Sunday night.

It comes after Aaron Francis and Lucinda Strafford became the latest Islanders to be sent packing from the show after receiving the fewest public votes as a couple.

The pair had only been a couple for a few days, and the their dumping came just minutes after emotional scenes between the two where Aaron had told Lucinda he liked her, confessing: “I never normally tell someone this fast”.

Aaron had previously tried to pursue Lucinda and steal a smooch from the blonde while she was with new boy Danny Bibby – who left the show last week – which resulted in some rather awkward moments leaving Aaron rejected on screen.

Eventually though, Aaron managed to couple up with the beauty and the pair seemed to be going from strength to strength in the villa.

However, former Islander Anna Vakili believes the good-looking pair won’t last long at all now they’ve been booted from the villa.

Speaking to the Daily Star’s Carly Hacon in an exclusive Facebook Live chat, Anna insisted she “doesn’t believe that was real”.

Carly Hacon asked Anna who Lucinda will pursue now that she’s left the villa, Anna said: “I don’t think she’s going to stay with Aaron for long, like no way.

She then commented: “I don’t believe that was real. But she might just be single.”

Earlier in the live Facebook chat, Anna said she believed Lucinda and Aaron were the best couple to have been voted out of the villa, adding that she “doesn’t feel much” about them.

However, the beauty reckoned Lucinda will still be able to bag plenty of brand deals despite being kicked off the show, following a wave of tweets from viewers last night speculating that Lucinda would have been gutted to lose out on potential sponsorships.

After the tense vote off, Lucinda explained she thought it was the best way to happen that she would be leaving the show with Aaron, as she packed her bags in the bedroom.

Liberty added: “I’m so happy that they’re together.”

During his exit interview, Aaron said: “It’s always disappointing to leave the villa. I feel like that’s my family and I’ve been in there from the start.

“I’m really happy to be leaving with Luce anyway because obviously, I can’t imagine leaving by myself.”

Love Island continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV.
