Love Island viewers threaten to 'switch off' as Liam attempts to win Millie back

Love Island viewers have been left cringing over Liam Reardon’s latest attempt to get back in Millie Court’s good books.

Following Mabel’s performance in the villa, Liam decided to take to the stage to read out a speech he wrote for Millie in front of all of the islanders as he fights to rekindle their romance.

Millie appeared to have a smile on her face as Liam read out the speech and even told him it was “cute”, adding in the Beach Hut that she was annoyed at herself for thinking it’s cute.

However, many viewers did not find it cute in the slightest, with some threatening to switch off the TV.

Liam climbed up on stage as he shared his thoughts on Millie Court in front of everyone

Taking to Twitter, one user wrote: “I will change the channel if Liam actually gets up on that stage.”

Another person said: “I had to change the channel I physically couldn’t cope with the second hand embarrassment of watching Liam make a speech on stage.”

A third person chirped: “Do I switch my TV off now?”

Meanwhile, other viewers have been left convinced that Millie might be planning to take Liam back after his speech… in perfect time for the recoupling tonight.

Liam has attempted once more to try and get Millie back

Reading from his phone, Liam said: “You blew me away with your flawless looks, piercing blue eyes, infectious smile and amazing personality that draws me to you.

“It’s the way you make me smile without even saying anything that brings me back for more.

“I didn’t expect to come to Love Island and find a potential soulmate so early on but I’ve found that and so much more in you.

“I’ve never been one to have boxes that need ticking, it’s all about how someone makes me feel. I’ve never felt this way before….”

Liam appears to have slowly worked his way into Millie’s good books

Although Millie has made it clear that things aren’t back to normal with Liam, she did tell him that the speech saw him take “half a step” forward.

Liam has made many attempts to get Millie back following the aftermath of Casa Amor which saw him getting cosy with islander Lillie Hayes, but Millie remained adamant and ended their romance.

But could they rekindle their previously strong romance? Only time will tell…

Love Island continues tomorrow on ITV2 at 9pm.
