'Love Island's Liberty and Jake won't make the recoupling – he's playing games'

Hey Guys,

Welcome back to my weekly column – giving you the rundown on all things Love Island!

As first episodes go – it was alright! I don’t think it was hugely wild but everyone is playing it so safe at the moment I didn’t expect much else – and that’s ok!

A lot of them will be keeping their cards close to their chest first time round which is to be expected.

Just from first impressions, I don’t feel like any of the initial couples are going to last the test of time – the only person that seems to actually like the person they are coupled up with is Liberty! And I think that will come to an end pretty soon – it just doesn’t feel like it’s going to go past the first recoupling.

I think Aaron was really brave to take a chance and not go with either Faye or Kaz which I think we all thought he would. He chose Shannon and went with his gut. He clearly knows what he wants and is attracted to – it was a risky move but tells me he isn’t playing any games!

Did you see Jake’s reaction to not getting the toe dare? He was definitely jealous there. But seriously, toe sucking action especially on the first day? Eewwwww! I actually couldn’t watch!

If I was to make any couple predictions at the moment, the only one I really feel like it could happen is Shannon and Brad!

They just seem like similar personalities and a bit further down the line could connect.

Initially, they might not look like a match but the longer time they spend together in the villa; but who knows, anything can change.

At this stage, I feel like the majority of them are playing a game; you can tell they’re not 100% feeling the couple they’re in but they don’t want to be single – especially Jake.

Just from first impressions in last night’s episode, I don’t think he’s being straight with Liberty about not feeling her but then he’s telling the boys. To me, this is a big RED FLAG and a huge no no!

Let’s hope he tells her how he really feels if he wants to look elsewhere – honesty is the best policy after all hey?

When I think about entering the villa, it’s a very scary moment standing there and having to step forward on initial attraction alone especially if you’re a slow burner like me or Shannon.

That’s probably why I didn’t step forward for anyone either; you don’t want to make the wrong decision and end up in a couple you don’t want to be in – but then you don’t want to be left single and vulnerable; it’s a really tough one!

At the same time, you’re standing there for hours sweating your t*** off – (thank god for make-up and setting spray!) hoping someone will pick you.

When you’re in the situation, it feels like you’re waiting for approval or validation from someone else against other people – it’s such a strange feeling.

Unless you’ve been in it it’s so hard to describe. And for any fellow islanders reading this – you know what I mean right?!

On the flipside, it’s also really exciting to think of what could happen in a space of days or weeks – and believe me a few days FEELS like weeks in the villa! How crazy is it to think that these random people you have just met may be the people that you end up having this crazy two months of life experience with?

People you might love or hate – it’s a pretty crazy concept. Your whole life can literally change in a matter of weeks and end up leaving with some of the best friends in the world – that’s really exciting to me.

When I look back, walking into that famous villa that you have only seen on TV, heart beating fast it’s such a surreal moment. The villa itself is so much smaller in real life than it looks on TV – I remember being really shocked at how small It actually was. Watching them in there I can almost smell the villa through the screen – such a surreal feeling.

I really REALLY miss my bed – it was literally one of the most comfy beds I’ve ever stayed in! I miss chilling on the terrace in the mornings having a gossip with the girls.

To be honest, I even miss not having my phone. Not being able to have your phone for so long might seem like a scary concept – but looking back it was one of the best things ever. Not being able to hear opinions of the outside world and just having that bit of peace and quiet – it’s something I certainly didn’t take for granted!

At this stage I feel like there isn’t much in terms of excitement but with the news of the bombshell is coming in I think this is going to be a game changer! Chloe seems like a fiery personality and a woman who knows what and who she wants. She doesn’t strike me as the type to mince her words or hold back – and we all know that’s when s*** is going to get messy!

You’ve heard my opinions – what’s yours?

Let me know what you think of last night’s episode!
