Love Island's Liberty 'can't stop smiling' as romance with Jake intensifies

As things heat up in Love Island it looks like the first pairing to grow into a full couple will be Liberty and Jake as they grow closer in tonight’s episode.

As the pair go to the sundeck together for a chat, Jake is seen in the beach hut saying: “I think Liberty’s eyes, they draw me in.”

As the pair chat Jake will open up by telling Liberty: “I can’t wait for a cuddle later on,” with Liberty responding “Same, you are comfy to be fair.”

From here we get to see Liberty in the beach hut as she talks about how she’s feeling about Jake and what it means to her.

“In my whole life, I’ve never connected with a guy that well and for it to be that instant. We’re like two peas in a pod,” she says.

Liberty then confesses to Jake about how he makes her feel nervous, which Jake thankfully takes as a compliment.

Liberty says to Jake: “I’m actually a confident girl but you make me a bit nervous. I don’t know why.”

Jake says: “I love that. That’s a compliment.”

As the relationship grows, the pair then kiss while Chloe and Kaz watch them.

Later on in the episode, Liberty discusses how she’s feeling with the girls in the dressing room.

She says “I can’t stop smiling” as Chloe teases her by following up with “you’ve got the feels!”

Liberty and Jake have quickly grown close in the villa.

Jake had his pick of the female contestants on day one, but Liberty was his first choice.

When describing what she looked for in a man Liberty said: “I like a tall, alpha male, confident, a cheeky chappy sort of guy.

Liberty has got the feels!

“But obviously that’s always usually combined with player types, which is where I go wrong.

“So I am trying to change my ways and go for more of a nicer guy that is going to treat me right.”

It’s uncertain whether the pair will last as more people enter the villa to stir the pot – but tonight the early days of a growing romance will bloom.

Love Island continues on Thursday at 9pm on ITV2
