Love Island's Mary breaks silence on Aaron split as her 'head is all over the place'

Love Island babe Mary Bedford welcomed a Q&A from her Instagram followers as fans threw burning questions her way – and the one on everybody’s mind was the real reason she split from Aaron Simpson.

The pair were previously getting incredibly cosy in the villa, but imminently split once they were voted out by the public, leaving fans absolutely gobsmacked.

Now, a week after the show has ended, Mary has revealed why the pair ended their romance so soon after leaving the villa.

She explained that finding out that her grandma had died while she was in the villa “completely threw” her, adding that she had never lost anyone so close to her.

Mary added: “It has been really hard to be honest.

“A result of this is my head is all over the place, and all I knew is I wanted to be back home surrounded by my loved ones.

“Aaron is an amazing person who has been supportive about everything since we left the show but right now there’s no pressure on us, I will always be so grateful we met as he’s a massive part of my Love Island journey.

“I’m focusing on getting my head back in the right headspace which is why I haven’t been crazy active since coming out, but who knows about the future.”

Mary was keeping particularly quiet when it came to her return to Instagram after she left the villa, with her first post being the announcement that she had sadly lost her grandmother while she was in the villa.

She has since returned to social media and has also returned to her YouTube channel which saw her post a video filmed prior to her heading into Love Island.

In the video she showed herself packing, getting her nails done and saying goodbye to her family before she headed off to quarantine.

The beauty ultimately joined the villa during Casa Amor where she coupled up with Toby, but as he rekindled his romance with Chloe she then became close to Dale, before he was dumped, and then Aaron entered the villa.

Mary and Aaron were together during the final week of Love Island before they were voted out of the show, but they were certainly getting close.

Aaron set up a picnic for Mary and it was clear the duo were connecting, but ultimately after a public vote was announced, the pair were sent home.
