Love Island's Paige Turley says lockdown proved that her only hobby was boozing

Love Island winner Paige Turley made the shocking confession that lockdown made her realise that her only real hobby was “going out and getting drunk”.

The 23-year-old singer, who won the winter version of the sexy reality show in 2020, said that to remedy that she has taken up two new hobbies – horse riding and skiing.

But Paige then went on to say she may be having second thoughts about the two rather dangerous sports.

She joked that she thought she “was having a bloody stroke” during her last ski lesson because she was so scared of heights.

Paige was in a car with her Love Island boyfriend and co-champ Finn Tapp, 21, when she recorded some footage to her Instagram stories lamenting her previous lack of hobbies.

She said: “So during lockdown, I came to the conclusion that I don’t do bugger all apart from going out and getting drunk in my spare time so I thought I’m going to take up hobbies!

“So I’ve took up horse riding and I’ve took up skiing. Today was our third skiing lesson and our skiing instructor took up right up to the top of the highest slope!

“I thought I was up there having a bloody stroke when he told me there was only one way down. I’m not even exaggerating.”

Finn responded with: “You are being very dramatic!”

Paige, who wowed judges on Britain’s Got Talent when she was just 14, added: “If you had life insurance, it would not have covered you!

“But I’m here to tell the tale but yeah I don’t know if skiing is the one for me.”

The star, from West Lothian, bagged the £50,000 top prize along with former semi-professional footballer Finn in the show’s first-ever winter edition and one year on, the couple is living together in their own apartment in Manchester.

In other Love Island news, bosses have reportedly lined up Chelsea party boy James Price for the new series.

The 23-year-old recruitment consultant has previously tried to hook up with former Love Island star Lucie Dolan prior to her finding fame on the hit ITV show.

Lucie is currently in a long-term relationship with boyfriend Luke Mabbott, who also starred in the same series of the show, the last since the coronavirus lockdown.
