Love Island's Priya and Brett enjoy sit down coffee date despite romance fizzling out

Love Island’sPriya Golpadas sat down for a cosy coffee chat with co-star Brett Staniland on Tuesday, after the sparks between them in the villa died out.

The 23-year-old chose to couple up with bombshell Brett in the villa, only to brutally friend-zone him later after telling the girls she’d “got the ick”.

Taking to Instagram to share a video of Brett looking handsome with slicked back hair, Priya wrote: “Coffee featuring Love Island’s next top model @twinbrett.”

Brett later shared Priya’s snap to his Story with his own caption, saying: “yeah you can stop that right now”.

Priya also shared a string of selfies of her and Brett pulling different faces, while she confirmed their friendship status, writing: “long lost friends reunited @twinbrett”.

Brett finished by sharing a clip of himself secretly filming Priya as she was busy shooting a video.

He says: “out with the toddler for the day”, causing Priya to turn and realise he’s filming as she laughs.

The pair enjoyed a short-lived romance on Love Island

Priya and Brett bonded after they were stuck spending quarantine together for a week before heading back to the UK.

Despite Priya choosing Brett over Matthew McNabb, their romance was short-lived, with Priya labelling the model “boring” after a dinner date.

Their rocky relationship caused the other Islanders to vote them as the least compatible, and they were later dumped from the villa following the audience vote.

After their exit from the villa, Priya said of their relationship: “We are going to be friends and I reckon our friendship is going to last a long time.

“We are so similar and we got on so well. I don’t think there is anything romantic there but I know for certain there will be a friendship.”

The pair’s coffee date comes days before the Love Island reunion show on September 5.

The show will see the previous Islanders reunite for a special episode and is sure to be full of drama, and juicy bombshells.

It comes after Millie and Liam – who are now officially boyfriend and girlfriend – made history as the first ever villa bombshells to win.

The lovebirds triumphed over fellow finalists Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran, Faye Winter and Teddy Soares and Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshank.
