Madonna's daughter Lourdes boldly unveils armpit hair in tiny crop top at Met Gala

Queen of Pop Madonna ‘s daughter Lourdes Leon boldly showed off her armpit hair at the 2021 Met Gala in NYC last night.

The model and daughter of Carlos Leon, 24, wore a Moschino fuchsia studded halter bikini top with matching skirt designed by Jeremy Scott.

Madonna’s oldest child of her brood of six had her first appearance at the Met Gala, posing on the iconic Met Gallery staircase as she made sure all eyes were on her.

She was also on the sought after front cover of September issue of Vogue magazine for the magazine’s feature story, “Generation America: The Models Changing an Industry.”

At the 2021 Costume Institute Gala, Lourdes’ jet black hair fell far past her waist, complimenting her long, eye-catching nails.

Despite the high fashion status of the event, that didn’t stop Lourdes from boldly sticking out her tongue for the camera.

Speaking to Vogue, she said: “People think I’m this talentless rich kid who’s had everything given to her, but I’m not.”

Lourdes also explained that she paid her own college tuition when she went to her mother’s alma mater the University of Michigan and lives in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Bushwick, away from the glamour of Los Angeles or Hollywood.

Lourdes posed on the steps alongside Bella Hadid, Kaia Gerber, Precious Lee, Anok Yai, Ariel Nicholson, Sherry Shi, and Yumi Nu to name a few.

The long-awaited Met Gala finally returned after being cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic.

This year it was pushed to September from its traditional slot on the first Sunday in May.

The theme ‘In America: A Lexicon of Fashion’ and the event featured celebrity co-chairs: actor Timothée Chalamet, musician Billie Eilish, poet Amanda Gorman and tennis star Naomi Osaka.

Honorary chairs for the evening were designer Tom Ford, sponsor Instagram’s Adam Mosseri, and Vogue’s iconic Anna Wintour.

Aged just 19, singer Billie Eilish made history as the youngest ever co-chair of the prestigious event.

When the hosts were first announced, Vogue magazine said: “Each of the Met’s four co-hosts embodies the defining factor of American style: individualism.

“[They have each] developed a distinct visual language for their public personas, one that is informed by the legacy of iconic fashion made in the USA.”

Safety was paramount at this year’s event as the organisers said: “Currently, all attendees at The Met Gala on September 13 must provide proof of full vaccination and will also be expected to wear masks indoors except when eating or drinking,” a spokesperson for The Met said last month.

This year’s gala was slightly smaller than usual and another ball will be held in May 2, 2022.

Both balls launch a two-part exhibition, a survey of American fashion to be on view for the best part of a year at the Met.
