Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan escape for sun-soaked getaway after horror cancer scare

Reality star Mark Wright has jetted off to Mexico with his wife Michelle Keegan for a winter break after doctors declared him cancer free.

The 34-year-old former Coronation Street actress and her TV star hubby fled the UK for a romantic getaway just hours after 34-year-old Mark revealed he is cancer free after having surgery on a tumour.

TV presenter Mark went under the knife to have a 4.7 inch tumour removed from under his armpit a fortnight ago.

And the football pundit took to social media to share some pictures on the beach with fans as he recovered from his operation.

More snaps showed the pair knocking back cocktails and shots and enjoying slap up meals including lobster and tapas.

Mark recently took to Instagram on Tuesday to announce he was declared cancer free after having a benign tumour removed as doctors feared there was a chance it could turn cancerous.

He said: “I got the news the other day that it is all clear, it’s cancer free. It was a terribly worrying time, but that’s done it’s in the past, we move on.”

He went on to reveal that he has been dealing with anxiety throughout the cancer scare and shared that he was been feeling “low”.

Mark went on to announce that he plans to relaunch his Train Wright fitness videos next year.

Writing a lengthy caption on social media, Mark explained that his recent health scare has made him even more passionate about keeping fit and healthy.
