Matt Lucas flaunts incredible weight loss as he poses with pal David Walliams

Little Britain star Matt Lucas looks dramatically different from his time on the comedy show after deciding to overhaul his appearance during the lockdown.

The pair were together to celebrate David’s 50th birthday as Matt shared a snap of them both with a chocolate cake in front of them which read, “Happy Birthday David”.

Matt chose to overhaul his image during the lockdown, telling Lorraine Kelly that he “had to do something about it”.

At the time he said: “I lost some weight, I needed to take the edge off, because I put on a lot of weight in lockdown.”

He added: “I’ve still got a bit of a tum and a bit going on here [point to his chin]. I’m not a skinny minnie.”

Last year Matt revealed his hopes to “get fitter” during quarantine, which is exactly what he has spent some time doing – and it has certainly been noticed.

Matt had a particular presence on TV after the debut of Little Britain in 2003.

Although the series ended after three years, Matt and David remained close friends and continued to work together on various projects in the years that followed.

The pair are yet to work on something new, but it was teased that a new project could be coming as Matt previously told Lorraine: “We’ve got an idea. We haven’t written anything down yet, we haven’t pitched anything to anyone, but we do know what it is we want to do.”

No new project has been confirmed just yet, but fans of the comedians will certainly be lining up to hear more details.
