Meghan Markle was given a helping hand about fitting into life within the royal family by TV legend Paul O’Grady.
The kooky TV host has revealed how he spoken to the former Deal or No Deal box girl about terms Her Majesty The Queen isn’t keen of.
In particular, the For The Love Of Dogs host claims the monarch, 95, hates the term bathroom when referring to needing to pay a visit.
Paul, 65, has written in the TV Times that he chatted to Meghan after her 2018 wedding to Prince Harry.
He penned: “Always remember to say ‘lavatory’, not ‘bathroom’, otherwise you will really rile her!”
Paul has long enjoyed a friendship with the Royal Family and previously gushed over how The Queen is “easy to get on with” and “likes a good laugh”.
His main advice to the Duchess when dealing with The Queen was to “be totally honest with her” as she is a “straight-talking” person, which seems rather ironic after the Duchess had her tell-all interview with Oprah.
On Saturday Meghan will be noticeably absent from the final of The Queen’s husband Prince Philip.
The Suits actress has decided to stay in California due to being heavily pregnant her second child.
Meghan, 39, is said to have private plans to hour the 99-year-old Duke’s life.
A source told US magazine People: “It was always a given that Harry would return to England for his grandfather’s passing.
“Meghan expressed condolences. The Queen understands why she can’t travel at the moment.”
While Meghan has stayed in LA, Prince Harry is back in the UK and has been self isolating at Frogmore Cottage since the start of the week.
It will be the first time the former working royal will be seen back in the country since he and Meghan decided to sit down with Oprah Winfrey for a two hour tell-all on US TV.
The infamous interview was broadcast while the frail Duke was receiving around the clock treatment in hospital for a heart condition.
During the exposé, Harry and Meghan made a series of highly incendiary claims about the Royals including alleging that his father Prince Charles, 72, and his older brother Prince William, 38, feel ‘trapped’ by the system of hereditary monarchy.
Meghan also claimed to Oprah that Prince William’s wife, Kate Middleton, made her cry in the lead up to her wedding.
