Michael Jackson took son Prince's Halloween sweets over fears they had been poisoned

Michael Jackson use to confiscate son Princes’ Halloween sweets as he feared their neighbours poisoned them.

Prince, now 24-years-old reflected on the fun times he use to have with his superstar dad at Halloween.

The music star’s son told The Mix how his late dad loved the spooky season and tried to make it as amazing as possible for his children, by decorating their mansion with extravagant decorations and watching scary movies.

The 24-year-old explained how his famous dad allowed him and his sister Paris, 23, to go trick-or-treating.

He said: “Halloween is such an awesome holiday for me because when we were growing up, obviously, we wore masks to conceal our identity. But Halloween was one of those few holidays where it’s normal for everyone to wear masks.”

“It was kind of that one day of the year where we got to go out with my dad to some family friend’s house and we did a little bit of trick-or-treating and we celebrated kind of a normal Halloween.”

Prince then explained how after trick-or-treating his dad would confiscate their treats as he worried someone would have poisoned them.

Prince told fans that his dad loved Halloween and use to make the season extra spooky for him and his sister

He continued: “But also, when we were younger, people were always concerned about some people putting poison and razor-blades in their kids’ candy.

“So, we could go and we would collect the candy, but when we got home, my dad would always throw that away.

“Instead, he would give us a pillowcase filled with candy.

“We were only allowed one day to eat it. So, I remember getting all this candy and I would be so sick trying to eat as much of it as I possibly could.

The charity’s mission is to raise the quality of life for inner-city youth of Los Angeles by furnishing access to co-curricular educational initiatives that will emphasise the value of an active, healthy lifestyle, and provide the tools needed to earn an education.

Prince told fans during an Instagram Live: “It’s going to be a fun night to get back together and celebrate the charity, celebrate the work that we’ve done, but also celebrate the life and legacy of my father and all that he’s contributed to the music industry as well as to the month of October with the great song Thriller.”
