Michelle Heaton says Katie Price saved her from drug and alcohol addiction

Michelle Heaton was full of emotion as she looked back at how far she’s come over the past year, hailing Katie Price for saving her life.

The former Liberty X star explained that had become addicted to cocaine and alcohol from 2018 but thanks to Katie, she sought professional help.

Michelle’s downward spiral began after she’d been informed that she was a carrier of the mutated BRCA2 gene, in 2012.

As she bared such a high risk of breast cancer and ovarian cancer, Michelle put herself forward for a double mastectomy that same year, followed by a hysterectomy in 2014.

After her showbiz friends had noticed her slipping away they made the executive decision to take matters into their own hands.

Katie led the way, telling Michelle that she needed to check herself into the Priory.

“What I was doing was a suicide mission. I never actually thought, ‘I want to kill myself’, but ultimately I was killing myself.

As she’s been “plunged into early menopause” she felt she was no longer “recognised as a woman on paper”.
