Mrs Brown's Boys star selling video messages for £33 after quitting BBC show

Mrs Brown’s Boys star Gary Hollywood is doing video messages for cash after quitting the hit comedy.

The actor, 41, is charging fans £33 a time for clips on money-making site Cameo.

In a trailer on his profile, he says: “If you would love a birthday message to you or your loved ones, then get in touch.”

Gary is keen to earn some extra money after ditching his role as Dino Doyle on Mrs Brown’s Boys last autumn.

The Scottish star walked away after a row over pay with boss Brendan O’Carroll.

Shortly after leaving, Gary revealed there was bad blood behind the scenes.

He told the Daily Star Sunday: “I don’t know why this had to turn out dirty and murky.

“It feels like a bad divorce. But I’m getting on with my life. I’m out of the show now and to be honest I am glad in a sense. I feel free from all the murkiness and what it is becoming.”

Mrs Brown’s Boys has been in crisis in recent months.

Last year’s Christmas specials pulled in its lowest viewing figures for almost a decade.

And this year’s series of its spin-off chat show All Round To Mrs Brown’s is facing the axe due to coronavirus.

Scores of celebs have set up profiles on Cameo including Tiger King star Carole Baskin is rumoured to have earned up to £16,000 a day on the site.

Gary recently told Daily Star that he wants to go to the dark side and star in a gritty drama in a bid to move on from Mrs Brown’s Boys.

He said: “With Mrs Brown’s Boys, I was involved in a job that enabled me to have a nice life.

“But it also held me back because I’ve not been able to do other things. I played Dino for so long, so I’d love to do a serious role to take me away from that.

“I’d love to go back into drama and do something in a completely different light.”
