Naga Munchetty laughs as BBC Breakfast co-star is caught in awkward technical blunder

BBC Breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty tried her best to hold back her laughter after journalist Adam Fleming suffered a techincal gaffe while reporting on COP26.

While Adam discussed the last day of the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Glasgow, the camera light appeared to go dark on him leaving viewers at home unable to see him clearly.

Trying his best to finish his report without viewers noticing, Adam appeared to bend down to remove himself from focus, however it didn’t seem to help.

Commenting on the blunder from the studio, Naga said: “Oh, now the light has gone off. That’s what happens while on live TV.”

Co-host Jon Kaye then said in a very serious tone: “We are cutting our carbon emissions as we speak, living exactly the responsibilities.”

But Jon’s comment certainly made Naga giggle at the unexpected scene, as she turned to her left to have a quick laugh.

Viewers also picked up on the technical failure and took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

Repeating what presenter Jon said, one viewer, laughed: “Cutting our carbon emissions as we speak,” followed by a laughing emoji.

However, another viewer was not impressed with Naga’s giggles and wrote: “Predictably, Naga enjoyed the lights going out on her colleague. She seems to enjoy it when others have mishaps while she runs her narcissistic agenda. Distasteful.”

COP26 was the main focus of conversation on Friday morning’s BBC Breakfast.

As the conference came to an end, the BBC presenters discussed the changes that should hopefully be taking place in the future.

Despite the in-depth discussion on climate change, some viewers weren’t too keen on the topic and felt the presenters failed to discuss other pressing matters.

One viewer wrote: “Can’t be bothered with #BBCBreakfast this morning, it’s all #climatechange.”

Another penned: “A climate siren, give me strength as the woke hypocrite Nimbys have selective ignorance.”

“While the hypocrite climate farce ends, Belarus playing the corrupt EU mafia like a fiddle,” a third added.

Meanwhile a fourth questioned: “Last official day of #cop26, So like did we save the world?”
