Nando’s waitress Liberty Poole is latest Love Island 2021 star confirmed

The latest contestant on Love Island has been confirmed.

Liberty Poole is 21-year-old marketing student and Nando’s waitress from Birmingham and even though she is definitely looking for love she is a “girls’ girl as well so I can’t wait for the girly friendships.”

Liberty said she is a “social butterfly” and is excited for an epic holiday after lockdown.

Nando’s might not be the most likely place to find love, but the blonde beauty confessed that she has been “rinsed” for dates there.

When asked if she had ever gone out with anyone that had asked her out at work, Liberty said that no but that she has had “a few things happen”.

She shared: “I’ve had a napkin shaped as a rose given to me which was cute, that was when I first started working there and then I’ve been proposed to. It was a bit unexpected!

“He was on his own, he’d come into the restaurant every week and he got down on one knee and was like, ‘Will you marry me?”

Liberty added: “But in his hand, it was a charity support badge not a diamond ring or nothing. So I was thinking, that’s one way of saying I’m a charity case when it comes to love!”

She said she is looking for an “alpha male” in the villa and a guy who is “confident”. However Liberty is not looking for a “player type” – which is her usual type – and instead is hoping to find someone who will “treat her right”.

Rumours had swirled about the stars of the new line-up in recent weeks, with speculation over dentists, celebrity offspring and NHS doctors getting picked up by casting agents.

Thankfully, ITV bosses have now decided to put fans out of their misery, introducing us to the newest stars of the show on Instagram.

Laura Whitmore will return to host the show, and her husband, Iain Stirling, will make a spectacular comeback as narrator.

The show’s official return date was confirmed on This Morning last week, with hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield “receiving a text” like the cast of the show.

It read: “Love Island is back! Monday 28th June 9pm, ITV2 and ITV Hub.”

Finishing with the hashtags #ThisIsNotADrill and #CrackOn, Holly couldn’t wait to tune in, as she remarked: “This is exciting, isn’t it? Brilliant!”

Last summer’s edition was scrapped due to the coronavirus pandemic, but show bosses were determined to go ahead with filming this summer.

The contestants will quarantine before going into the villa, and the crew will be employing safety measures to prevent the spread of Covid.

Love Island begins on June 28 on ITV2.
