Ross and Rachel’s relationship in Friends had the whole world agog for years.
Their on and off romance was such a major part of the show and who will ever forget their first iconic kiss at Central Perk?
So when the actors admitted that they fancied each other in real life during filming, unbeknownst to each other, Friends fans flipped.
However, during that time David Schwimmer, 54, who played Ross, was dating Australian singer Natalie Imbruglia.
Did she have a clue?
On a recent interview on KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Show, Natalie said she “thought so”.
When the Torn hitmaker was asked if she thought there had been any crossover, she replied jokily: “I thought that too… no I’m joking.”
Natalie, 46, went on to point out that the whole thing was so long ago she could not even remember during what series she was dating David.
She added: “I don’t remember.
“I remember being on set and everyone being lovely and really, really nice, I wasn’t paying attention to whether they were giving each other, you know, little looks over my shoulder.
“I’m okay with whatever happened back then, it was a long time ago.”
Natalie and David were together for about a year from 1996 to 1997.
She previously described their short-lived romance as a “happy relationship”.
For years, claims of a Friends reunion were rubbished by the cast but finally, earlier this year, it came to fruition – though in chat show form.
One of the most talked-about anecdotes from the reunion was the off-screen chemistry between Jennifer, 52, and David.
They came very close to becoming real-life lovers, the pair have sensationally revealed and the only thing stopping them was that one of them was always in a relationship with someone else.
They were “crushing hard” on each other as they filmed they both said in the reunion show.

But fate kept standing in the way and eventually they accepted it just wasn’t meant to be.
James Corden, who hosted the chat, said he couldn’t believe during all that time none of the stars hooked up.
“You were hot, young, good look actors – it is inconceivable to me that there weren’t off-screen romances,” the Brit put to the group.
David said: “First season, I had a major crush on Jen.”
She chimed in: “It was reciprocated.”
David continued: “We were crushing hard with each other. But it was like two ships passing, one of us was always in a relationship.”
Matt Le Blanc then cough-joked: “B******t,” as he sipped coffee and everyone laughed.
Jen added: “I remember saying to David ‘it is going to be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is going to be on national television’, and sure enough…
“We just channelled all of our love for each other into Ross and Rachel.”
