Nicki Minaj’s father Robert Maraj has been killed in a hit and run incident, according to reports.
TMZ report that he 64-year-old was “walking on the road on Friday evening before he was “hit by a vehicle heading northbound”.
They add that police have told them the driver then fled the scene.
Nicki Minaj is yet to comment or issue a statement on the tragic news, though a rep for the star confirmed her father’s passing.
The publication add that Robert was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
He is said to have tragically passed away from his injuries this weekend.

The New York Homicide Squad are now launching investigation into the incident and asking the public to help identify the person responsible.
Sadly there is not thought to be a detailed description of the vehicle involved.
The horrific news comes just four months after the chart-topper gave birth to her first child with husband Kenneth Petty.
After keeping the majority of her pregnancy quite, Nicki confirmed she had given birth in October last year.

Taking to Instagram she gushed: “I am so grateful & in love with my son.”
In a rare post last summer, Nicki admitted she had been suffering with morning sickness.
She told fans how she “had the worst morning sickness of all time”.
Nicki wrote alongside a cute snap: “Didn’t know morning sickness could last all day either.
“But nevertheless, this is one of the pics I took b4 you could see my lil baby bump.”
