Phil Collins is claimed to have entered into a bonding session with his ex wife’s new toyboy husband Thomas Bates.
According to the 31-year-old, the Another Day In Paradise hitmaker entered into a “brief conversation” about World War Two during their first encounter.
Thomas married Phil’s ex Orianne Cevey, 47, last year after the a four month whirlwind romance and it seems Phil is already coming to terms with her new younger man already.
Orianne’s new husband claims they have met on three separate occasions and has no issue with the Genesis singer who has always been “very cordial” towards him.

Speaking to The Sun while sat next to Orianne, he said: “Personally, Phil was always very cordial to me.
“The first time I met him we had a brief conversation about European history and World War Two.
“It was a nice interaction and he shook my hand.”

Orianne recently revealed to the same publication that her marriage broke down after she had felt “trapped in a golden cage” as the iconic drummers slipped into a booze-fuelled depression.
The Swiss-born later took off off to Las Vegas where she married Thomas in secret – it is claimed that Phil had been aware that the pair were dating by the time they’d tied the knot.

Soon after the newly weds moved to a £4million home in Florida, following a court battle with the rock star after he’d forced her out of his Miami mansion.
Thomas who is an aspiring musician described the legal proceedings as “petty and vindictive” but later went on to add that he’d “never had any personal problem with Phil”.
It appears Thomas is in favour of Orianne and Phil patching things up for the sake of their children Nicholas, 19, and Matthew, 16.
He would like to see the two exes enter into a “good relationship” where they can attend all future milestones for their sons together and happily.
