They ended their relationship last year following him coming out as gay, but popular This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield is still great friends with his wife Stephanie.
He remained at the family home throughout lockdown and the former couple and their children Molly and Ruby have just posed for a selfie at the Griffith Observatory in LA.
Phillip wrote: “Amazing long weekend celebrating @mollyschofe’s birthday. Hope you had a wonderful time gorgeous.”
The Griffith Observatory is one of California’s most popular tourist attractions and is situated in the heart of Los Angeles. Instead of spotting Hollywood stars, visitors can look through telescopes and enjoy incredible views of LA and the iconic Hollywood sign.
No wonder Schofe and his family were all smiles in their selfie.
Phillip, 59, has praised Stephanie for being so supportive since he opened up live on air to friend and This Morning co-host Holly Willoughby about his sexuality in February last year.
The couple married in 1993 and Phillip has been open about the journey they have been on since he came out.
Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live, he said: ”We love each other massively. We are a loving family, that hasn’t changed… it’s us four but different. We are a work in progress. I’ve been very honest about all of this and there’s no question, we have to pick our way through this daily as a family.
“And that’s what we are doing. We are making our way through very unusual and unexpected waters.”
Phillip has also confided to Holly on This Morning about how his wife is his rock, saying: “There’s no one in my life who would have supported me the way, as a wife, as the way she supported me. She’s astonishing, literally astonishing.”
Phillip sent fans into a tizz last September when he said: “I am about to be taken out to lunch for the first time since March.” But so far he has is not known to be dating anyone new.
