Piers Morgan has found himself embroiled in a feud with American rapper Nicki Minaj as the pair went head-to-head on Twitter about the musician’s vaccine comments.
Nicki, 38, has received a flood of criticism after revealing she could not go to the 2021 Met Gala as she had not been vaccinated against COVID-19.
In a string of seemingly baseless tweets to her 22million followers, the rapper turned on British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Professor Chris Whitty for calling her “ridiculous” after she sensationally claimed the Covid vaccine makes people impotent.
Piers, 56, ended up feuding with the star after he tweeted: “Professor Whitty beefing with the ghastly @NICKIMINAJ (one of the rudest little madams I’ve ever met) is not the breaking news that I expected today – but it’s most welcome. She’s peddling lies that will cost lives.”
The Starships hitmaker. who was born in Trinidad, hit back at the former Good Morning Britain presenter making a dig at his British heritage and calling him a clown.
Minaj tweeted: “Sir I’ve never met you. I know… we all look alike. “Rudest little madam”. I like it. Has a special ring to it.
“Thanks Pierce. Love the accent. I’d love to come chat. Scones. Tea. Clown nose & big red shoes for you. Lmk babe”.
The tweet included kissing and love heart emojis.
England’s Chief Medical Officer blasted anti-vaxxers who “should be ashamed” in a powerful response to evidence-free “myths” being made about the jab.
Despite the rapper’s insistence that she had never met the British TV host, her guest appearance on America’s Got Talent when Piers was a judge back in 2011 has proven her wrong.
Further fuelling the Twitter spat, Piers eplied: “Madam, we met on @AGT when you appeared as a guest act – but you refused to say hello to my three young sons because you were ‘too busy’. Oh, and it’s ‘Piers’ – I know, we Brit names all sound alike.”
She later responded: “Wait AGT? What’s that y’all ? I was on American Idol who TF.” She added: “He gon make me go live. Chiiiiileeee. Does he have an ig. I wanna go live with him. ENOUGH UGLY! @pierce.”
He hit back: “For the love of God.. it’s PIERS.”
The trigger began when outrage erupted at a Downing Street conference when a journalist asked the PM and England’s chief medical advisor about Ms Minaj’s vaccine tweet.
