Piers Morgan has humiliated Donald Trump by taking to social media to claim he was once rejected for his hit series Life Stories.
The Good Morning Britain host took to Twitter to make the embarrassing revelation – minutes after denouncing his friendship with the current President of the United States.
Posting to his seven million followers, Piers, 55, replied to a fan who asked him to try and book Trump, 74, on his show.
Susanna Reid’s co-star replied: “Interesting fact: ITV once turned down Trump for Life Stories when he agreed to do it.”
The post was quickly met with a flurry of replies from shocked and amused fans.

One fan mocked: “Thank god for that. My television screen would be covered in tomato. Prefer more interesting people thank you very much.”
Another added: “He craves continual attention so there’ll be another opportunity.”
Meanwhile, a third probed: “Would they turn him down now? Would be the biggest audience ever.”
Piers’ comments after he published his latest online column in which he denounced his friendship with the businessman turned politician after the President failed to directly condemn rioters who broke into Capitol Hill and started up the iconic American building in his name.
In the savage take down, Piers, who had previously boasted of his friendship with Trump and used it to secure multiple TV interviews with him during his term in office, branded the President “deluded and dangerous”.
He added that Trump “must be removed from office immediately via the 25th Amendment”.
Piers wrote for MailOnline: “There can be no other appropriate response to the utterly horrific scenes we all witnessed at Capitol Hill yesterday.
“And surely, he cannot be allowed to stay in office for another two weeks until Joe Biden’s inauguration because who the hell knows what he will do before then?”

He added: “We’re now in an unprecedented situation where the President of the United States has been banned from using Twitter and Facebook because he can’t be trusted not to incite violence, yet he still has power to start a nuclear war that could end civilisation.
“This cannot continue. It’s too dangerous. Trump’s now too dangerous.”
In response to his rhetoric, Facebook and Instagram have confirmed they have suspended Trump’s accounts indefinitely.
Meanwhile, Trump was slapped with a 12-hour Twitter ban.
