Piers Morgan fans left in tears as they praise 'extraordinary' Life Stories

Piers Morgan may be one of the most controversial men in the country but if you checked Twitter on Sunday night you’d be forgiven for thinking otherwise.

The microblogging site was awash with love for the former Good Morning Britain host as ITV aired a special edition of his popular Life Stories series.

To celebrate Piers completing 100 hard-hitting interviews with some of the biggest stars in the world.

During the episode clips were shown from countless episodes including Cheryl speaking frankly about her split from Ashely Cole, Bear Grylls breaking down over the death of his father and Mel B admitted she hooked up with fellow Spice Girl Geri Halliwell.

Talking about the programme, Piers himself said: “The one common denominator of all the shows is that I like to drill down with what makes my guests tick.”

Giving their take on the show, one viewer wrote: “Really not a fan of Piers Morgan but his show Life Stories is excellent.”

Another added: “Missed seeing Piers. Just wish you could get back on boring Good Morning Britain.”

They continued: “Seeing some of these well known faces bearing all and showing their real emotions…it’s what TV should be about. The best.”

According to wide spread reports Kier refused 14 times to answer if he had ever taken drugs.

The telly host is reported to said: “Have you ever dabbled in anything stronger than alcohol?

“You did not spend all your time at Leeds University in the library, did you? So, a cheeky spliff here and there?”

Sir Keir initially replied: “We worked hard and played hard.”

He later added: “Drugs weren’t my thing.”

However, Piers was keen to get a simple “yes or no” answer over a carefully worded reply.

Piers hit back: “Given your clear reluctance to give me a straight, simple answer, am I right in assuming from your response that you have tried drugs but that you didn’t actually like them and didn’t want to take any more?

“I’m not saying it was your thing, but you did try it. I mean, you’re reluctant to just say yes. You haven’t said no.”

Kier eventually is understood to have conceded slightly: “I haven’t said no.”
