Piers Morgan has agreed to a tell-all interview in the wake of his GMB exit – and the conversation is reportedly set to be “pull no punches”.
Televised in the US, the interview will be Piers’ first since stepping down from his role as lead presenter on Good Morning Britain.
The TV personality, 56, will speak with Fox Nation’s Tucker Carlson on Monday night, opening up about the motivation behind his exit.
ITV confirmed his departure on March 9, in the midst of an Ofcom investigation into comments Piers made about Meghan Markle.
The day previous, Piers sparked a backlash when he claimed he didn’t believe a “word” Meghan said when speaking out about her battle with suicidal thoughts.
According to The Sun, Piers will air his views on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in the interview.
A source said: “He remains 100 percent convinced he was right about what he said with regards to the Meghan and Harry interview.
“And he remains 100 percent convinced walking away was the right decision. Piers felt, in the end, he actually had no choice.
“For a long time he felt certain people at ITV – not all – wanted him to tone down his style. But there was no chance of that. Piers wears his heart on his sleeve and in the end walking away became a point of principle.”
The publication added the ex-GMB star “won’t be pulling any punches” in expressing his disappointment over the handling of his exit from the show.
Piers announced he had agreed to the tell-all interview earlier this week, vowing to divulge his “truth” in the televised chat.
Plugging the hour-long special, he said: “Time for America to hear MY truth….”
Tucker, 51, also spoke out on the upcoming interview, claiming Piers had been “cancelled” and “crushed” in the wake of his coverage of Meghan’s interview with Oprah Winfrey.

He said: “Piers Morgan was banished from television for asking a simple question.
“How is it that the most privileged people in our society get away with posing as the most oppressed?
