Pirates of the Caribbean star Greg Ellis releases book based on legal battle

Greg Ellis, 53, has been in a string of movies and TV shows over the years, as well as voicing over 100 video games.

He even played Lieutenant Commander Groves in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies and is friends with leading man Johnny Depp.

But the British star has been fighting a legal battle in recent years after police received a report from a neighbour, alleging him to have said: “I’m sick of this s**t, I’m gonna harm the children.”

However, he continues to deny this accusation and has now written about his experience with the legal system, which he labelled “a scandal”.

Opening up to Mirror Online, Greg gave insight into his experience which saw police turn up at his house after neighbours called.

He added: “What I’ve found from my experience is there are hundreds of thousands of people who are going through this, and to me it’s the biggest scandal of our society today and no one’s talking about it.

“That’s why I wrote this book, because I couldn’t believe it at first and then I found out it was so common.”

He went on to divulge to the publication what else he’d like to achieve with the new book.

Greg shared: “I wanted to ring the alarm bell about a broken system and call for a change in family law reform because it’s horrific out there.”

Earlier this week, he told his 14,000 Twitter followers why he wrote the book, with his sons at the core of the purpose of the work.

“I wrote @TheRespondent to let my sons know that I had not abandoned them. Make sense of the government-sponsored devastation of my life and destruction of my family. Tell other similarly situated parents that they are not alone. Ring the alarm about a broken system.”
