Like many parents, Stacey Solomon has been forced to go with the flow during the pandemic. Yet it’s still frustrating when any mum has to miss out on their child’s special occasions.
Loose Women favourite Stacey, 31, posted a photo of a beaming Leighton and wrote: “Have the bestest day today at your sports day! I know you’re so so excited but sad we can’t be there.
“I wish I could be there to cheer you on so loudly you’d wish I wasn’t there. But I can not wait to hear all about it when you get home tonight!
“Love you to the moon and back go get it pickle.”
Stacey has revealed that her big sister Jemma has temporarily moved into her house, affectionately nicknamed Pickle Cottage.
“My sister set up a movie night for the kids, she’s staying here while Joe’s away because I’m a big baby,” the presenter joked.
Stacey’s fiancée Joe Swash is currently away on a fishing trip with his son Harry, 13, from his previous relationship with Emma Sophocleous.
Loose Women panellist Stacey has often talked about her ‘blended family’ with Joe.
She has two sons from previous relationships and one son with actor and presenter Joe, 39.
She is also expecting her fourth child and has revealed that it’s a girl.
Stacey had her first son, 13-year-old Zachary, when she was 17 with her childhood boyfriend Dean Cox.
Four years later, Stacey welcomed nine-year-old Leighton with ex-fiancé Aaron Barnham.
In May 2019, Stacey and Joe’s first child together, Rex Toby Francis Swash, was born.
Stacey is also a stepmother to Harry.
In true Stacey style, she has warmly defended the couple’s family set up, saying: “Families come in all shapes and sizes and what’s important is that the love is there no matter where it comes from.
“We are not a ‘broken family’ in any way shape or form we are an extended family. And everyone loves an extension.”
