Prince Harry and Meghan Markle film called 'distasteful' and a 'new low' by Lady C

Lady Colin Campbell, who is the author of eight books about the royals, has spoken out about the recent Prince Harry and Meghan Markle film branding it “distasteful.”

The new film which is called Harry & Meghan: Escaping The Palace has already caused a stir amongst royalists premiered earlier this week in the US.

However, Lady Colin admitted she had watched a few clips from the film and said: “I had the distasteful experience of looking at some of the clips.”

Speaking during a fan Q&A on her YouTube channel, the 72-year-old went on to explain: “What I found really distasteful was the imagined scene of Harry dreaming that Meghan is going to be dying the same way as [Princess] Diana.

“Is there no depth to which these people won’t sink? Is there no stone that they won’t turn over as the worms wriggle?

“And to believe this involves a member of our royal family?” she added, followed by a silent sign of the cross.

The socialite and TV personality then went on to liken the film to demanding 300 million dollars from the lottery, meaning the show had a slim chance of being real.

It is the third instalment of the film by US network Lifetime

Harry & Meghan: Escaping The Palace takes a look at the couple’s decision to step away from royal duties last year and following the birth of their first child Archie.

The 87-minute long feature film also includes the controversial interview from US chat show host Oprah Winfrey.

In the interview, the Duchess of Sussex detailed her mental health battle and how she felt “suicidal” during her pregnancy.
