In an unexpected collaboration Ashley Banjo could be teaming up with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry for a new project.
The leader of dance troupe Diversity revealed that the royal couple contacted him after the group’s Black Lives Matters performance on Britain’s Got Talent.
Despite the performance bagging a BAFTA TV award in June the dance also received nearly 30,000 Ofcom complaints last year and led to members of the group receiving death threats.
However things are looking very positive for Ashley, 32, and during a recent radio appearance he hinted at possibly working with the Sussexes in the near future.
The BGT judge told FUBAR Radio there was “common ground” between him and the royal pair, with challenges they can all “relate” to.
He said: “I think the paths might cross at some point, I’m not sure how.
“There’s been a couple of conversations, but, yeah. I’m hoping that our paths cross. That’s all I’m going to say. Keep it under wraps as they say.”
The father of two added: “We’ve got loads of like loads of common ground, things that we just both relate on.”
In May Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely revealed that they still receive online hate for their George Floyd inspired dance routine they performed on Britain’s Got Talent in 2020.
Speaking to the , Jordan said: “I still get messages and stuff all the time like if I’m going on a TV show or if I am promoting something, they’ll be like, ‘oh I am not watching that, Banjo the racist is on there.’”
As well as discussing his possible new collaboration with the Sussexes Ashley also confirmed that Diversity would be releasing a new video.
