Prince Harry’s own biographer Angela Levin has claimed he is trying to “hurt and punish” the Royal Family because he feels they ‘wronged’ his wife Meghan Markle.
The Royal expert, who worked closely with Harry at Kensington Palace in 2017 for her book, claimed on Good Morning Britain that the Duke Of Sussex was out to get revenge.
Her comments came after Harry spoke freely on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, where he said he had endured “some form of pain or suffering” during his upbringing because of his own father’s experiences growing up.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain host Kate Garraway suggested that maybe Harry hadn’t intentionally set out to be “rude” or “hurtful” with his comments.
But Angela hit back: “He know’s exactly what he’s doing.”
Continuing, the award-winning journalist added: “People keep saying that ‘he is an idiot’ but I don’t think that he is, I think he knows exactly what he wants to say and he wants to hurt them to punish them, because he feels they’ve wronged him and they’ve wronged Meghan.”
Angela wasn’t hopeful that Harry would be able to now find a way to patch things up with his family.
She explained: “I think that fact that they tend to give anything they hear or say to the Royal Family to friends of Meghan’s who reported to social media, is a way of killing off any bonding and working towards something positive.
“These things are very delicate, you can’t repair such terrible damage in sort of 20 minutes, especially if it’s your grandfather’s funeral and I think that they can’t trust him anymore.
“Whatever they say, even if they creep in slowly and gently, if that gets passed on you can’t bond, you can’t heal and I think their nonsense about compassion to those who know and those who don’t know is a favourite phrase, is meaningless because they are not compassionate, he is not trying to understand.
” I think it’s shocking and terrible upsetting because when I spent over a year with him he was terrific, he was positive, he had issues but they didn’t identify him as a victim and now he seems to have this terrible brainwash and is number one victim.”
Harry’s comments come just weeks after he and Meghan gave a bombshell interview to Oprah Winfrey that sent shockwaves around the Palace.
The Daily Mirror’s royal editor Russell Myers told Lorraine that there would be “a few sighs going on at the palace” over Harry’s latest comments.
He said: “The feeling in the [royal] camp will be that after the Oprah Winfrey interview, [Harry] said a lot of potentially hurtful things, a lot of things that need to be resolved.
“Obviously the Queen released a statement saying that recollections may vary about their accounts of what they’re saying, but this is another extraordinary day in the land of Harry and Meghan, ultimately.”
Lorraine replied: “He was just being hurtful, I guess.”
